STANDING ORDER
To
All Executive Engineers,
Subject: The bottling of water by bottlers of water under the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003 (Kerala Act 31 of 2003), the Home Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the bottling of water by bottlers of water.
2. The matter has been examined. Every bottler of water carrying on the bottling of water shall make an application in Form A to the Irrigation Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Executive Engineer shall ensure that permit is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Irrigation Authority within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Kerala.
