OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The manufacture of motor vehicles by manufacturers of motor vehicles under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the manufacture of motor vehicles by manufacturers of motor vehicles is to be regulated under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985.
2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of motor vehicles carrying on the manufacture of motor vehicles shall make an application in Form 1 to the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of motor vehicles is undertaken, and the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Kerala.
