OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of Government bonds by holders of a Government bond under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the holding of Government bonds by holders of a Government bond is to be regulated under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of a Government bond carrying on the holding of Government bonds shall make an application in Form GFR 19 to the Government of Gujarat within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of Government bonds is undertaken, and the Government of Gujarat shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Gujarat.
