OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The carrying on of a trade by persons carrying on a trade within the municipal limits under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the carrying on of a trade by persons carrying on a trade within the municipal limits is to be regulated under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person carrying on a trade within the municipal limits carrying on the carrying on of a trade shall make an application in Form D to the Town Planning Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the carrying on of a trade is undertaken, and the Town Planning Authority shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat.
