STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The operation of a critical facility by operators of a critical facility under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a critical facility by operators of a critical facility.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a critical facility carrying on the operation of a critical facility shall make an application in Form A to the Director of Fire Services within one day, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that installation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Fire Services within one day.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat.
