STANDING ORDER

To

All Regionals Officer of the Board,

Subject: The publication of news on a digital platform by publishers of news on a digital platform under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984 (Tamil Nadu Act 7 of 1984), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the publication of news on a digital platform by publishers of news on a digital platform.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of news on a digital platform carrying on the publication of news on a digital platform shall make an application in Form II to the Advisory Panel within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Regional Officer of the Board shall ensure that copy of a book is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Advisory Panel within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
