PRESS NOTE
Subject: Dealing in foreign exchange as an authorised dealer by authorised dealers under the Live-stock Importation Act, 1898, regarding.
1. The Central Government has reviewed the policy on dealing in foreign exchange as an authorised dealer and has decided as follows.
2. Every authorised dealer carrying on dealing in foreign exchange as an authorised dealer may do so subject to the conditions set out in the annexure, and the Reserve Bank shall be informed in Form SEZ-2 within fifteen days.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in foreign exchange as an authorised dealer is undertaken, and the Reserve Bank shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this press note may be brought to the notice of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
