STANDING ORDER

All Executive Officers,

Subject: The management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001 (Andhra Pradesh Act 35 of 2001), the Energy Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara.

2. The matter has been examined. Every committee of a gurdwara carrying on the management of a gurdwara shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Andhra Pradesh within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Executive Officer shall ensure that account is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Andhra Pradesh within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
