STANDING ORDER

To

All Panchayat Inspectors,

Subject: Fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall make an application in Form 8 to the Director of Panchayats within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Panchayats within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
