STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspecting Officers,

Subject: The management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies under the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017 (Tamil Nadu Act 42 of 2017), the Housing Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative housing society carrying on the management of a co-operative housing society shall make an application in Form D to the Housing Board within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Inspecting Officer shall ensure that possession letter is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Housing Board within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
