STANDING ORDER

To

All Recruiting Officers,

Subject: Dealing in military stores by dealers in military stores under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2002), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in military stores by dealers in military stores.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in military stores carrying on dealing in military stores shall make an application in Form E to the Cantonment Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Recruiting Officer shall ensure that identity card is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Cantonment Board within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka.
