STANDING ORDER

To

All Sanitary Inspectors,

Subject: The connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer by owners of a private drain under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 (Uttar Pradesh Act 11 of 1973), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer by owners of a private drain.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a private drain carrying on the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer shall make an application in Form H to the Town Vending Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Sanitary Inspector shall ensure that vending certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
