STANDING ORDER
To
All Tahsildars,
Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953 (Punjab Act 10 of 1953), the Energy Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land by landholders.
2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Land Tribunal within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that register of holdings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Tribunal within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Punjab.
