STANDING ORDER

All Child Welfare Officers,

Subject: The running of a school by schools under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1993), the Energy Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a school by schools.

2. The matter has been examined. Every school carrying on the running of a school shall make an application in Form VII to the District Child Protection Unit within three days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Child Welfare Officer shall ensure that individual care plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Child Protection Unit within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Maharashtra.
