STANDING ORDER

To

All Nazirs,

Subject: The administration of oaths by oath commissioners under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954 (Uttar Pradesh Act 24 of 1954), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the administration of oaths by oath commissioners.

2. The matter has been examined. Every oath commissioner carrying on the administration of oaths shall make an application in Form H to the Legal Services Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Nazir shall ensure that certified copy is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Legal Services Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
