OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The construction of a group housing scheme by builders of a group housing scheme under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the construction of a group housing scheme by builders of a group housing scheme is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972.

2. The matter has been examined. Every builder of a group housing scheme carrying on the construction of a group housing scheme shall make an application in Form H to the Rent Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the construction of a group housing scheme is undertaken, and the Rent Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
