STANDING ORDER

To

All Rehabilitation Officers,

Subject: The running of a residential facility by operators of a residential facility under the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutions and of Appointments or Posts) Act, 2018, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutions and of Appointments or Posts) Act, 2018 (Karnataka Act 2 of 2018), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a residential facility by operators of a residential facility.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a residential facility carrying on the running of a residential facility shall make an application in Form VI to the National Trust within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Rehabilitation Officer shall ensure that grievance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Trust within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka.
