STANDING ORDER

To

All Plant Protection Officers,

Subject: The raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1959), the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every nursery grower carrying on the raising of plants in a nursery shall make an application in Form E to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Plant Protection Officer shall ensure that certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
