STANDING ORDER

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Finance Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land by landholders.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Odisha.
