STANDING ORDER

To

All Health Officers,

Subject: The collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 (Uttar Pradesh Act 11 of 1973), the Urban Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall make an application in Form H to the Standing Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Health Officer shall ensure that hoarding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Standing Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
