OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land is to be regulated under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 5 to the Land Tribunal within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land assessed to revenue is undertaken, and the Land Tribunal shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Goa.
