STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Inspectors,

Subject: The wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910 (Uttar Pradesh Act 4 of 1910), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every wholesale vendor carrying on the wholesale vend of liquor shall make an application in Form C to the Collector within ten days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Inspector shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within ten days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
