OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the cultivation of land as tenant by tenants is to be regulated under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 1 to the Land Tribunal within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as tenant is undertaken, and the Land Tribunal shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Punjab.
