OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The certification of disability by certifying medical authorities under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the certification of disability by certifying medical authorities is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994.
2. The matter has been examined. Every certifying medical authority carrying on the certification of disability shall make an application in Form III to the National Trust within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the certification of disability is undertaken, and the National Trust shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
