STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Press Registrars,

Subject: The operation of a multi-system cable network by multi-system operators under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953 (Maharashtra Act 11 of 1953), the Environment Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a multi-system cable network by multi-system operators.

2. The matter has been examined. Every multi-system operator carrying on the operation of a multi-system cable network shall make an application in Form I to the Advisory Panel within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Press Registrar shall ensure that periodical is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Advisory Panel within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Maharashtra.
