OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The use of a motor vehicle by owners of a motor vehicle under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the use of a motor vehicle by owners of a motor vehicle is to be regulated under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a motor vehicle carrying on the use of a motor vehicle shall make an application in Form 38 to the Transport Commissioner within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of a motor vehicle is undertaken, and the Transport Commissioner shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
