STANDING ORDER

To

All Child Development Project Officers,

Subject: The running of a children's home by operators of a children's home under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988 (Andhra Pradesh Act 10 of 1988), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a children's home by operators of a children's home.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a children's home carrying on the running of a children's home shall make an application in Form VII to the State Commission for Women within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Child Development Project Officer shall ensure that case file is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Commission for Women within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
