OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The extraction of ground water by person drawing ground waters under the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the extraction of ground water by person drawing ground waters is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person drawing ground water carrying on the extraction of ground water shall make an application in Form H to the Dam Safety Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the extraction of ground water is undertaken, and the Dam Safety Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
