STANDING ORDER

To

All Cantonment Executive Officers,

Subject: Service in the Force by enrolled persons under the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 (Maharashtra Act 22 of 1951), the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to service in the Force by enrolled persons.

2. The matter has been examined. Every enrolled person carrying on service in the Force shall make an application in Form G to the Station Commander within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Cantonment Executive Officer shall ensure that defence work is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Station Commander within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
