OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The publication of news on a digital platform by publishers of news on a digital platform under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the publication of news on a digital platform by publishers of news on a digital platform is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of news on a digital platform carrying on the publication of news on a digital platform shall make an application in Form VI to the Advisory Panel within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the publication of news on a digital platform is undertaken, and the Advisory Panel shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
