OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The use of a private service vehicle by owners of a private service vehicle under the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the use of a private service vehicle by owners of a private service vehicle is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a private service vehicle carrying on the use of a private service vehicle shall make an application in Form 20 to the Licensing Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of a private service vehicle is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
