OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The transport of school children by operators of a school bus under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the transport of school children by operators of a school bus is to be regulated under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a school bus carrying on the transport of school children shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Gujarat within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of school children is undertaken, and the Government of Gujarat shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Gujarat.
