OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a residential facility by operators of a residential facility under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the running of a residential facility by operators of a residential facility is to be regulated under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a residential facility carrying on the running of a residential facility shall make an application in Form II to the Chief Commissioner within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a residential facility is undertaken, and the Chief Commissioner shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
