STANDING ORDER

To

All Incident Commanders,

Subject: The operation of a dam in an emergency by operators of a dam under the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999 (Andhra Pradesh Act 27 of 1999), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a dam in an emergency by operators of a dam.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a dam carrying on the operation of a dam in an emergency shall make an application in Form A to the National Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Incident Commander shall ensure that no-objection certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
