OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Registration with the Welfare Board by buildings worker registered with the Board under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Labour Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which registration with the Welfare Board by buildings worker registered with the Board is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982.

2. The matter has been examined. Every building worker registered with the Board carrying on registration with the Welfare Board shall make an application in Form 3 to the Employees' Insurance Court within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which registration with the Welfare Board is undertaken, and the Employees' Insurance Court shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
