STANDING ORDER

To

All Housing Commissioners,

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Uttar Pradesh Act 13 of 1972), the Housing Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form D to the Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Housing Commissioner shall ensure that brochure is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Authority within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
