OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries under the Kerala Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries is to be regulated under the Kerala Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every treasury carrying on the receipt and payment of Government moneys shall make an application in Form GFR 25 to the Finance Commission within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the receipt and payment of Government moneys is undertaken, and the Finance Commission shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala.
