STANDING ORDER

To

All Superintendents of the Home,

Subject: The running of a creche by creches under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 2002), the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a creche by creches.

2. The matter has been examined. Every creche carrying on the running of a creche shall make an application in Form IV to the Local Complaints Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Superintendent of the Home shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Local Complaints Committee within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
