STANDING ORDER

To

All Survey Officers,

Subject: The occupation of public premises by occupants of public premises under the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962 (Karnataka Act 10 of 1962), the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of public premises by occupants of public premises.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant of public premises carrying on the occupation of public premises shall make an application in Form 2 to the Collector within three hundred and sixty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Survey Officer shall ensure that document is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within three hundred and sixty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka.
