OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The development of a real estate project by promoters under the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the development of a real estate project by promoters is to be regulated under the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972.

2. The matter has been examined. Every promoter carrying on the development of a real estate project shall make an application in Form E to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the development of a real estate project is undertaken, and the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka.
