STANDING ORDER

To

All Relief Officers,

Subject: The operation of a dam in an emergency by operators of a dam under the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 2 of 2009), the Information Technology Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a dam in an emergency by operators of a dam.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a dam carrying on the operation of a dam in an emergency shall make an application in Form C to the Relief Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Relief Officer shall ensure that fire safety certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Relief Commissioner within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
