OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh on the manner in which the import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor is to be regulated under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall make an application in Form F to the District Excise Officer within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the import of liquor into the State is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
