OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The maintenance of a dam by owners of a dam under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the maintenance of a dam by owners of a dam is to be regulated under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a dam carrying on the maintenance of a dam shall make an application in Form F to the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of a dam is undertaken, and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
