OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The governance of a sport by national sports federations under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Tourism Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the governance of a sport by national sports federations is to be regulated under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976.

2. The matter has been examined. Every national sports federation carrying on the governance of a sport shall make an application in Form D to the National Sports Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the governance of a sport is undertaken, and the National Sports Board shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Goa.
