STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Directors,

Subject: Employment in a covered establishment by insured persons under the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969 (Maharashtra Act 30 of 1969), the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to employment in a covered establishment by insured persons.

2. The matter has been examined. Every insured person carrying on employment in a covered establishment shall make an application in Form 6 to the Welfare Board within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Director shall ensure that contribution card is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Welfare Board within ten days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra.
