STANDING ORDER

To

All Branch Managers,

Subject: The receipt of benefits as a nominee by nominees of an insured person under the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978 (Kerala Act 20 of 1978), the Labour Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the receipt of benefits as a nominee by nominees of an insured person.

2. The matter has been examined. Every nominee of an insured person carrying on the receipt of benefits as a nominee shall make an application in Form 2 to the Corporation within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Branch Manager shall ensure that benefit is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Corporation within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Kerala.
