OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The plying of a tourist vehicle by operators of a tourist vehicle under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the plying of a tourist vehicle by operators of a tourist vehicle is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a tourist vehicle carrying on the plying of a tourist vehicle shall make an application in Form VI to the Museum Board within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the plying of a tourist vehicle is undertaken, and the Museum Board shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
