STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,
Subject: Dealing in excisable articles by dealers under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964 (Goa Act 5 of 1964), the Information Technology Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in excisable articles by dealers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer carrying on dealing in excisable articles shall make an application in Form C to the Licensing Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Goa.
