STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Registrars,

Subject: The occupation of premises by tenants under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Uttar Pradesh Act 13 of 1972), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of premises by tenants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the occupation of premises shall make an application in Form E to the Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Registrar shall ensure that register of projects is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Authority within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
