STANDING ORDER

To

All Insecticide Inspectors,

Subject: The sponsoring of contract farming by contract farming sponsors under the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation and Development) Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation and Development) Act, 1966 (Karnataka Act 27 of 1966), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sponsoring of contract farming by contract farming sponsors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contract farming sponsor carrying on the sponsoring of contract farming shall make an application in Form B to the Board within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Insecticide Inspector shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Karnataka.
